Alarm does not respond when I press the remote buttons.
If your remote control has a small light that lights up when pressed, make sure that light is working. If not, replace battery. If the battery is new, make sure it is installed properly. If still does not work then...
- Your remote needs to be reprogrammed to the alarm system, or
- Remote control is bad
- You will need to use your emergency override button to shutoff the system.
My alarm is killing my car battery.
Not very likely. In over 17 years of installing, I have yet to see an alarm drain a battery. An alarm system does not randomly decide to create a draw on your battery. Check elsewhere.
My alarm goes off all the time
Here are the possibilities. A technician is needed.
- The impact sensor is set too high.
- The door trigger is setting off the alarm (this would be evident the first day alarm was installed)
- Your battery is losing it's charge causing a voltage drop and making the alarm act irregluar.
- The alarm brain is faulty
