No Power Locks?
No problem
Many vehicles are not equipped with power locks. If you would like to add the convenience of keyless entry to your alarm system, you will need power locks installed. Or maybe you just want to add power locks without an alarm. That is fine, too.
Please be advised that not all vehicles can have power locks added. If your vehicle's locking system is cable driven, as opposed to linkage, you should not seek aftermarket motors to provide a power locking system. Many shops will be glad to do it, but what they don't explain is that once the linkage is tampered with, it loses its integrity, and eventually fails, thus permanently locking you inside or outside your vehicle. Even lifting the lever by hand will not open your door. In your case, you should use factory power locks supplied at a local dealer.
Vehicles equipped with linkage are typically older models, up to 2005.
